Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Make an effort this year, for Pete's sake. My husband likes to remind me EVERY YEAR that St. Valentine was beheaded on February 14 and there's nothing romantic about that.
What is romantic is a steaming hot tub, a inky star-filled night, a little glistening snow on the ground, a bottle of chilled wine and the best mood setting play list ever. Here are some suggestions to make this a Valentine's night to remember!

If you don't have time for a playlist, check out some of the romance on these albums. The Soundtrack for Sleepless in Seattle, with songs like Nat King Cole's "Stardust" and Jimmy Durante's "As Time Goes By." Another set-the-mood soundtrack is Romeo and Juliet from the 1968 Franco Zeffirelli's film. If you are a jazz fan, check out "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. For ambient music, give a listen to "Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks" by Brian Eno. For classical, try "The Most Romantic Classical Music in the Universe" featuring various artists.
Make sure to set the mood with some subtle lighting, (candles are always good) and check out some aromatherapy; just make sure it is made specifically for a hot tub. Oh, and don't forget the chocolate. Ever.
Don't have a hot tub? This is your year! Check out familyleisure.com for a impressive array of hot tubs, including Artesian, Viking and American Select.
Happy Valentine's Day!
