A complete "Skimmer Closure System", the Widemouth Pool Skimmer Ice Guard Plate from Family Leisure is a breeze to install and will prevent water from entering your skimmer and freezing during the winter. The plate / plug offers a layer of high density foam that plugs into the skimmer and expands, essentially locking out water and moisture. The stiff outer plate provides enhanced protection, while the inner seal effectively blocks both water and air. This plate / plug is designed to fit skimmers with wide mouth openings; see below for the measurements it fits.

NOTE: There are a few skimmers on the market that have a very slightly smaller opening that what is listed above and in this scenario you can trim a small portion of the foam to make it fit correctly.
