This umbrella is made of two simple parts. First, there is the aluminum frame that is made of cast and heavy tubular aluminum. It is finished with a powdercoat finish that keeps it protected while resisting cracking and peeling. Customers choose the color of their frame. Then, there is the fabric that provides shade. Customers choose the fabric color, too. Is that all? Yes, that is all. There are no other mechanisms on this outdoor umbrella. It opens and closes with a simple tug. To open, pullfabric and the umbrella folds open. To close, push on the ribs and it folds down. The lack of outside mechanisms simplifies the use of this umbrella and makes it more lightweight. This it the first umbrella of its kind!
