When the U.S. tobacco industry was booming, tobacco farms were found in abundance everywhere the crop could grow. Tobacco farms were built with beautiful woods and tall ceilinged structures. They were a staple of American landscape and economy. Now, tobacco farms are going out of business and being torn down. Fireside is repurposing the wood, saving the memory and brilliance of the buildings that propelled the national crop into success. The wood that is used to build the Barnwood Square Pub Table comes from 1800’s tobacco farms, is handcrafted and finished with a clear coat to preserve the natural radiance of the wood while enhancing durability. Black walnut splines on the seams of each oak plank prevent warping and maintain old-fashioned craftsmanship and detailing.
