Reserve - Liquid Sodium Bromide by Leisure Time

Chlorine free water has been the first thing on the wish list of spa and hot tub owners everywhere. Chlorine works wonders in the way of sanitization, but some dislike its after effects on the senses. Reserve is a Leisure TIme spa chemical of liquid sodium bromide. It is most frequently used in a two-step process in conjunction with the "Renew" spa chemical by Leisure Time. The two-step process is a spa sanitizing system that leaves out chlorine all together. Part 1 is Reserve, which delivers sodium bromide to the spa water. Part 2 is Renew, which is a chlorine-free shock treatment that activates the Reserve. When reserve and renew come in contact with each other in the water, they create active bromine. Reserve by itself has no sanitizing properties, but when used as a system, they offer superior chlorine-free sanitation. 

Features:

• Shock is added after you get out of the spa, so you are not in contact with high chemical levels
• Does not use chlorine
• Does not require tabs or a floater
• Only requires adding chemicals if spa is being used

Spa Start-Up:

• Add required amount of Metal Gon
• Add 4 oz. of Reserve per 250 gallons
• Shock with 4 oz. (4 tablespoons) of Renew

Maintenance:

• Add 1 oz. of Reserve per 250 gallons weekly
• Shock with 4 oz. per 250 gallons of Renew after each use
• Maintain bromine levels between 1-3 ppm (test 15 minutes after adding Renew)

Note:

• To check bromine levels- Shock with renew, wait 15 minutes, test water. If bromine levels are not 1-3ppm, add 1 oz. Reserve and re-test.
• The system requires both chemicals to sanitize water. There will be no active sanitation if one is not used with the other.
• If the spa has not been used for a couple of days and you test the water before adding Renew, bromine levels may show 0. This is okay; test the water after shcoking and you will get an acurate reading.
