How to set up and use your Tanning Essentials Glam spray tan system
These directions will explain how to prepare your machine, ready to spray tan, and all the capabilities of your spray applicator and settings. When you open the box you will find a glam spray unit, a pro spray applicator, an air hose, and a power cord.
To begin, attach the hose to the Glam unit by inserting the Glam hose with the band itself fitting into the unit by turning it anti-clockwise until firmly in place. You should feel the hose click into place. Ovoid over tightening as this may result in broken components. Turn the hose clockwise to remove the air hose. Insert the power cord in the back of the machine. Turn the power on at the wall switch. We recommend your spray machine be placed a minimum of 50 cm behind you. This will ensure the unit stays cleaner for longer.
Using the Glam spray tan systems function, turn the turbine on by pressing the ON switch. The Glam unit has 3 speed settings for the perfect control; low, medium, and high. This controls the air flow coming from your machine into your applicator. The Glam unit also has the option for heat. Press the button, Heat, for the unit to make air become warm.
The most common setting for most technicians is medium flow with heat turned on. Choose a professional solution strength and color that is perfect for your clients skin; approximately 40-50 mil is enough spray tan solution to spray a full body.
Pour the solution into the cup around half full. Overfilling the solution cup will cause the cup to leak. Insert the cup and screw tightly, being careful not to cross thread the solution cup.
Look at the nozzle of your gun. If the nozzle on your spray gun is set horizontally, 3 and 9 of the clock face, then you must spray horizontally, left to right, right to left. If the nozzle of your spray gun is set vertically, 16 and 6 on the clock face, then you must spray vertically, top to bottom.
Once the cup is secure and you have chosen your nozzle direction, you are now ready to test the amount of solution coming from your sprayer. The solution control dial on the back of the applicator will determine the amount of solution dispensed from the gun. You can adjust the flow of the solution by adjusting the dial on the trigger. The higher the number on your dial, the more solution that will flow from the nozzle. As you become more comfortable with your spray tan techniques, you can increase the flow of your solution. Now you are ready to create the perfect spray tan.
